Best Western Plus Flathead Lake Inn and Suites is widely praised for its spotless rooms, comfortable bedding, and excellent breakfast spread, particularly boasting mountain views. However, recent critical reviews raise significant concerns regarding restrictive guest policies that allegedly unreasonably prevented local families from visiting registered guests for a small birthday party.
Extremely Clean, super nice staff, great breakfast. Nicely upgraded! Coffee with all the yummy cleaners, hot cocoa, water and fresh fruit available all day. Comfortable beds too! Bathroom is super tiny, but functional. Thats the only slight negative. Would definitely stay again. Spent 10 days there and i honestly don't think we'd have found a better hotel. Pool, workout room and laundry made it even nicer.
The hotel was wonderful. Suzanne and her staff were able to take in our 90 wedding guests for two nights after a continued power outage at our planned wedding venue. They were very accommodating with our last minute changes. The breakfasts offered a nice variety and the staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms were modern and beautiful with a nice gathering space for our guests. It made a stressful situation come together beautifully with plan B, for our daughter’s wedding. Thank you, thank you!
To whom it may concern, I arrived to the hotel to bring my niece her birthday gift. and i was kicked out and this poor child on her birthday had to come get her present from me in the parking lot in the cold with her close family other than her aunt and i nowhere in sight. we were not holding a party or anything extravagant. we were trying to celebrate a 7 year olds birthday. after conway kicked me out for stating i was there to drop off a birthday gift i was informed that the front desk employee, Conway, after my mother tried to drop my younger brother off to my sister as a surprise to my niece and bring my sisters step daughter who we only had a short time with due to the visitation for her had to be supervised, he yelled and screamed at the family kicking everyone out but my niece and her aunt out of the hotel. and threatening to even kick out the family members registered to the room out. including the child’s mother and father. we were simply trying to have a piece of cake watch her open presents and let the kids swim and sleep there for the night. instead children were forced into the cold in swimsuits at night and told to leave the property. we are multi generational family who has been in this part of the valley for generations and coming to this place for years several times a year. the behavior that was exhibited towards our family and myself was blatantly disrespectful. when talking to the “general manager” which we aren’t even sure who we spoke to as this person refused to give us a name or email to contact but demanded we spoke via email. i have recorded the phone call because we ran in circles over why all this happened. this woman continuously screamed that we were yelling at her on the phone, was making personal insults and jabs by learning the profile of who she was speaking to. when we proved a point correct she got very quiet and tried to reconcile eventually. but we didn’t want her reconciliation at that point and said we will report this to corporate and then she got very snippy as if she isn’t even the general manager. even offered solutions but wouldn’t tell us anything about them. as we personally do know the owners we’re taking action to contact them and report this encounter to corporate. we believe as many other policies were being violated and rules related to the bar were being broken that we were mistreated and harassed. this establishment is childish and immature as they are unable to handle situations such as these but allow unregistered people leave from a wedding reception drunkenly with alcohol in hand with their kids. but we can’t let 4 people celebrate a seven year old girls birthday party? unacceptable… i pray that the right people see this review and reconsider their actions as they have resulted in losing long time customers and shattered a poor little girls heart by removing her from her family. I don’t know how you could even sleep tonight if you can after this. To both Conway, and this supposed “general manager” i spoke to who wasn’t professional in the slightest. i hope you guys truly understand that you ruined the best day of the year for this child. she’s looked forward to this day for months. and you stripped all the joy out of it for her this time. i truly hope you change how you interact with people in the future. i will never conduct business here so long as these two are employed there or until major changes are made. the disrespect we received is asinine and truly baffles me. i do not regret reciprocating the amount of disrespect we were receiving constant back talk, rude comments, an employee yelling at children ages 4,6, and 7 until he turned red in the face. I’m sure i’ll get some response with snarkiness as others have but we have witnesses and recordings and we know we were wronged . i hope many avoid the situation we were in by NOT RESERVING SPACE HERE there are many better hotels in the city of kalispell and not sharing a parking lot with a gas station or right on the highway.
We stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year. Mostly for our kids birthdays and weekend get aways. We are locals. I will no longer be staying here. A room was rented by my daughter for my granddaughters birthday. I was there to bring her brother and supervise a visit with her step daughter. I was not going to be staying. We were simply dropping kids off. We were told by the front desk that the people registered were the only ones allowed to be there. We went to the pool where the group was to discuss what we would be doing and getting my Daughter, the registered guest to answer the guy at the front desks questions. He refused to listen to what was going on. And told us if we didn’t leave immediately that even the registered guests were going to have to leave. I have never been treated like this here. We have had multiple visits and never had an issue with people dropping off guests that were staying. We did leave and will not be returning. I will be taking our business elsewhere on not Recommending staying here. We were told that we couldn’t just have people coming in and out, even though there was a party in the conference room, people all Over going in and out and people walking through the halls with open beer cans. But two people trying to drop off a child to stay their with their sister was not Ok.
I love this hotel. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is awesome. This morning I enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, hash browns covered in sausage gravy, bacon, sausage patties and links, and waffle topped with whipped cream. Plus a great view since the dining area is on the second floor. Much better than my choices in Kalispell.
I am so happy we booked two nights at this hotel by Flathead Lake in Montana this August. Booking was a breeze and we were lucky they had space for the dates we needed. The location couldn’t be better. There is even a gas station close by that has pretty much everything you could ever need. It was only a quick 15 to 20 minute drive to the lake where we went on a boat trip and spent time by the water. The hotel itself was beautiful, sparkling clean, and so peaceful. The lobby felt warm and inviting with a cozy fireplace. At check in, the staff were so friendly and even gave us recommendations for where to eat and what to do which we really appreciated. Breakfast was such a treat with scrambled eggs, sausage, and a waffle maker station. The bright sunny breakfast room with gorgeous views made it even better. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and oh my goodness the bedding was heavenly. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the pillows were the perfect fluffiness, and the sheets were unbelievably soft. I slept like a dream every night. This stay was everything I could have hoped for and more. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, and beautiful spot near Flathead Lake, this is it. I cannot wait to come back!
Really good hotel for the price. Area is right off a highway so it’s easy to access. It’s right by flathead lake so it’s convenient for there! Only 30 minutes and an easy drive to Glacier Airport. A little far from the park but not bad
Thank you for your kind service. This place helps with a comfortable vacation. Breakfast is especially convenient. The main road is close, but it's quiet. One thing is I stayed for three days. But a shampoo and body wash were provided that were too small. But I recommend it if you have any summer vacation plans.
I have worked as a housekeeper years ago, this hotel is by far the best! I stayed there this past weekend for a couple days. When I stay at a hotel I do "tests/inspections" as soon as I walk into the room. I always check the ledges of TVs/picture frames and whatnot with my finger, I found NO DUST at all!!! I also checked the ledges walking up to my room with no dust also! I checked the bathroom for a clean toilet and tub. They were clean AND free of hairs, Usually you can always find atleast one strand of hair! The floors were nice and clean in the room. I have never been to a hotel where I could not find atleast ONE flaw! The breakfast was amazing and had a beautiful view of yhr mountains. I LOVED how the beds had 4 pillows and a big decorative one. They also were super comfortable. The AC worked great, I also did not hear anyone around us, nor any footsteps from the upper floor. I love how the hot tub is in its own little room separate from the pool. The check in/out process was smooth and had employees that were great. Im not sure how old this hotel is BUT regardless, you can see that everyone takes pride in their work and it definitely shows. Thanks for the amazing stay and we will DEFINITELY be back!!
I come to Kalispell for work and enjoy this hotel. From the lobby to the rooms are very clean. The rates are much better than the Hilton or Marriott properties and the rooms are just as nice. Easily accessed off the highway with little to no road noise. VERY welcoming.
