Newly opened with spacious kitchens and great service, but facing significant operational challenges including construction noise, poor breakfast logistics, and sporadic technical issues.
It was our first time visiting Kalispell, and staying at Home2 Suites made our trip even better! The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed, including a small kitchenette to prepare our own meals. The hotel is brand new, which is definitely a plus, everything felt fresh, modern, and spotless. The customer service was excellent, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome from the start. We’d absolutely stay here again next time we visit Kalispell!
The ladies at the check-in were very friendly. However, there is currently a large, noisy construction project next door with trades taking up much of the parking lot. There were many obvious construction issues with this brand new hotel. The walls and ceilings are not well insulated for sound. The a/c unit in the room was the loudest I’ve ever heard. Electrical outlets were jiggly. The shower pressure was a light dribble. The pool temperature was cold. Breakfast was sad and there are other hotels in the area with much more to offer. The cozy fire pit and seating pictured on the website is located directly in front of the main entrance, basically in the parking lot. I would not recommend this hotel.
The rooms were large. The bed was comfortable. Having a full kitchen was great! Staff was friendly. Internet coverage was good. Parking was very full, and there was no access from the larger back parking lot, so it wasn't overly convenient to find a parking spot on our arrival. Water pressure in the shower, as well as anything more than warm water, was problematic. I adjusted the showerhead, but still wasn't able to get much pressure. Noise levels were not problematic. Common spaces were well set up. The pool does not include a hot tub, but looked nice enough. I only took in breakfast one morning, but it was a mess. The set up could definitely be improved. First of all, the food is located in a separate room, down the hall from the reception desk, seating area and store area. Two girls were using the waffle machines, which are at the beginning of the line. They were blocking access to the plates, and therefore the rest of the hot food, and this created a line up down the hallway, that spanned longer than the length of the room. I was the third person waiting in line, and finally asked if the girls might move aside, while their waffles cooked, allowing others to get plates. This sped things up immeasurably, and the guy ahead of me thanked me for taking control. The staff were hard pressed to get enough hot food out, though, as well as adequate plates. I grabbed a couple of things, but tried to verify that the item marked as oatmeal was actually oatmeal. I asked someone else in line, and she said she didn't know, but it was awful the day before! I'm pretty sure it was actually grits, as it was unlike any oatmeal/porridge I have ever had (and I've been eating oatmeal all of my life). We were at a different HOme2Suites, with an open concept food counter, and it ran much more smoothly. Finally, we ended up having to cut our visit short, due to a winter storm blowing through our travel route home. We inquired about an earlier check-out, but were told there was no way we could be accommodated. This happened to us with a different Hilton brand hotel in Kalispell, years ago, and they were very understanding of the situation, and did not charge us for the early departure. The bill I was given at check out included the three nights we had stayed, but an emailed invoice included all four nights. The hotel definitely has potential. It's in a neighbourhood that is currently on the northern outskirts of Kalispell, but businesses, including the new Costco, are going up at a fast pace. The rooms are well appointed, and are great for extended stays. I think with a little more work, items that were not to our liking, could be improved. It was also great to travel with our dogs, as there was plenty of grass, and a park area right beside/behind the hotel.
Overall a do again that I will recommend to others. The hotel is newer, clean, quiet and comfortable. I was cozy and able to rest well ahead of a medical appt at the hospital. VERY clean and I am picky (and also own a property). The woman working last night who checked me in was just delightful - kind, friendly and professional. The young man who checked me out this morning was the same, even when I called thinking that I had left something behind - he could not have been more patient, kind and understanding. Top marks there for both of them for being on brand. Breakfast was good and the attendant was helpful and kind. What has me marking the property down is the overnight desk person. I walked past him a total of four times between 5:30 am and 6:00 am and he was playing on his phone the first few and did not look up, smile or note that I existed. I can understand that working overnights is not fun and I did not expect the level of energy from the evening or morning team but his behavior was not front of house appropriate not welcoming. He could have looked up and smiled and I would have been happy. I hate to pick on something small but it does matter.
We felt like VIPs a during this stay! We were visiting the area during a month-long stay in Montana. It is very convenient to shopping, Glacier National Park, and nearby towns of Whitefish, Columbia Falls, and downtown Kalispell. All of which have nice offerings for restaurants and breweries, if you are into that sort of thing. We noticed a variety of guests, some folks in construction and other work, retired folks, and several families with small children gearing up for an epic trip to Glacier National Park. Though not on our agenda, we did get up to Glacier and the drive was easy and beautiful. 35-40 minutes and you can also take a little longer route through Whitefish for even more cool scenery (more reviews there in my profile). We visited in October so it was very quiet both in the villages and at the park. The weather was fantastic. Back to the hotel...upon check in, we were greeted by Nancy, who was very sweet and helpful. She guided us to a room with a nice view that pleased pups and humans alike. We also had great experiences with Brennan, who's attention to detail was second to none. He went around checking on guests and tidied the lobby, refreshed coffee, and much more. He was very attentive and kind. Everyone that we encountered, housekeeping, maintenance, management, etc. was very friendly. They even checked with our kids to make sure the pool was a comfortable temperature. The room was comfortable, clean, and large. I loved the huge picture window overlooking the mountains. We traveled with our dog as well, and it was so nice they thought to put us right by the stairs to make letting them out easily. My husband had to take work calls during our stay and was really impressed by the large desk and slide out table for his keyboard. There was also a giant television with preloaded apps and regular channels. The kitchen was well appointed, as most Home 2 Suites are, with a large fridge and microwave, dishwasher, sink, and plenty of storage. We stayed three nights, but I could easily stay here for a week. This was a very pet friendly property with well appointed poo stations and treats at the front desk. As I mentioned earlier, they put us in a room that was very convenient to take them out. We also utilized the laundry rooms which had 2 washers and 2 dryers that operated by app. It was very convenient to tell when my laundry was done via notification. Each load was $2. The gym was beautiful and offered a Peloton, which I thought was really neat. Breakfast was good, with a change up every day. We enjoyed the spinach pastry and breakfast sandwiches. The kids loved the oatmeal station as well as the Belgian Waffles and toppings bar, of course. The breakfast area itself was very nicely designed with a variety of booths and tables. We enjoyed the booth and the front bar area because it has both outlets and USB so the kids and I could plug in and do work/school. The WiFi was great too. Speaking of the kids, they spent a lot of time in the pool. The room was nice and toasty warm. The pool itself was not huge, but perfect for them. They had it to themselves each time they got to go. Lucky kids. There is an attached patio with nice views and two BBQs as well. There is also a patio off the breakfast area in the lobby. Overall, most impressed with the service, but everything else was right up there! Thanks for taking such good care of us!
This would have been a 5 star review with exception to the fact that someone stole stuff off of our vehicle, that in itself is not the fault of the hotel however the hotel has no parking lot cameras. With that said this hotel is wonderful, gym laundry and pet friendly! Spacious rooms with the refrigerator and plates and cups. Shower is good. Bed is soft for my personal preference but otherwise fine. The staff here is the star of the show! EVERYONE I encountered was beyond friendly and welcoming.
Great staff with beautiful lobby and rooms. Breakfast I think closes a little too early tho. But otherwise a very fine hotel.
I had a fantastic stay at a New Home Suites hotel located just about 30 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. The location couldn’t have been more convenient — surrounded by a variety of stores and restaurants, it made it easy to grab anything I needed or enjoy a local meal without venturing far. One of the highlights of my stay was enjoying cocktails on the outdoor terrace in the evening with a view to the mountains The ambiance was relaxed, welcoming, and modern. Everything is new, since is a new hotel. They also offer outdoor grills that guests can use, which is a great bonus if you’re in the mood to cook outside. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. It felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room, with a cozy little living area that included a sofa cama — perfect for lounging or accommodating extra guests. The kitchen was impressively equipped with a full-size microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and a large sink — great for longer stays or if you enjoy preparing your own meals. They also have silverware available. This place really checked all the boxes: great location, excellent amenities, and a relaxing, homey vibe. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Glacier!
New hotel with a great location on main highway connecting Kalispell to Whitefish. 15 minutes from airport. Friendly staff, nice rooms, cool fire pit overlooking the Stillwater River. I will definitely be back!
Brand new hotel! High points for breakfast, high shower pressure, gym/laundry (combined in same room-great idea to workout while you wash clothes), location. Finally a gym with 75 pound dumbbells! Low marks for elevator ding (very loud and disrupted sleep) and wall thickness/soundproofing in the walls (neighbor had his TV on-could hear it clearly). The rooms are immaculate! The staff is very accommodating and professional. The surrounding are is picturesque. I stayed at an older Home2 1 week earlier and the breakfast here is far superior. Eating on actual plates, with real flatware, and drinking from ceramic coffee mugs and glass cups. It’s a nice change from styrofoam and plastic. Great new hotel. Highly recommend if you’re in Kalispell.
