Recent reviews suggest a decline in quality and service.
This Hotel is the epitome of disgusting. When I first arrived in my room, I was met with a German cockroach infestation in the bathroom, (photos attached) I immediately went to the front desk to request a room change. The next room was just as disgusting minus Visible bugs running around. Crumbs all over the floor, stains on the towels and bedding, there’s also a disgusting smell throughout the entire hotel. As I was leaving, there was a male staff member yelling obscenities because someone had shut their door too loud, This male staff member was obviously under the influence of drugs, As well as the female staff member that was standing next to him laughing. I booked a two night stay as the interior of my house was being painted, However, I stayed one night and was disgusted the entire time. It was clear to me the majority of guests are visibly either under the influence of drugs or alcohol. I’m a local and have stayed at this hotel as a child so I did not expect anything fancy but I also did not expect a health hazard. When I called to make a complaint with the manager, he became extremely upset and explained he knew that hotel inside and out, and he knows there is no bugs in the hotel. I have made a call to the health department and hopefully they shut this nasty place down.
The best part of staying in cheap hotels is the story you get to tell when you get home. This place wasn't really all that cheap, IMO but it was definitely less than other places in the area. The rooms are small with linoleum floors, cement block walls, and a small bathroom. The room was musty - likely due to lack of ventilation; condensation on the inside of the windows. The windows have no screens so forget that option if you want to open one. The noise from the airport, road and other patrons was the worst. They need to offer ear plugs at check in. The man next door had a yelling argument with someone on the phone (?) at 10:30 pm and after about 30 minutes, I called the front desk. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, etc., because the stuff in the dispensers on the walls are Dial and Dial. The cord on the hair blow dryer is less than 3' long so good luck with that. On the up side, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Be careful when booking your room here. We were scammed by a company saying they were at the "front desk" but in fact they were a 3rd party vendor who booked our room through Expedia. The vendor is called Room77 - I had no idea when I called the "local" number that this was really some other company likely overseas. They charged us double the going rate (the hotel site says $125 a night and Room77 charged my card $244) saying "there is only one room left." When we got to the hotel and I realized what had happened (the unhelpful front desk woman said I had booked through Expedia which simply was NOT the case) she then informed me the rate was non-refundable and the hot tub was broken. I was very dissatisfied. I also told her someone is scamming your customers and she could care less. I even showed her the number I called (which had a local area code) and the online link to that number and she shrugged her shoulders. Didn't even offer to tell the manager! If there was a "minus a star" option for service I would have picked that! MINUS 5 STARS for terrible customer service. They also say "breakfast is included" but know this is two options for cold cereal and a broken toaster. I can't make this up! The room was clean but smelled terrible like Lysol. The bedding is very old and the mattress sunk in the middle. I would never book a room here again and I suggest you do not either. There is a Hilton Garden Inn next door and an EconoLodge down the street.
I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel. The room had a strong, unpleasant mildew odor — so bad that I had to go buy an air freshener at Walmart just to make it bearable. The bed was very uncomfortable, soft, and very worn out, and the room itself felt quite small. The hotel was also very noisy in the morning. Planes taking off from the nearby airport and the constant sound of doors closing made it difficult to relax or sleep in. Unfortunately, the best part of my stay was checking out in the morning.
1st room I opened the window when I first got there to let it air out for a couple hours had to leave for a while Smell of smoke in the room was pretty bad in the bathroom. Rest of the room smelled musty/dirty. The cove molding was falling off the wall. The ac unit smelled bad so I cracked open the filter looked pretty caked never cleaned so I shut it off. The bed in the first room was horrible folded in like a taco absolutely no support.. I found hairs in the sheets. Brown stains on the sheets. Yellow stains on the pillow. Towels where crusty and stains. I couldn't stay in this room i would have rathered slept in my car or outside. so I let the lady know at the front desk. She quickly got me a new room and inspected it with me. Bedding was better. There was still hair all over the floor in the bathroom. Wanted to stay in the room least amount of time as possible. Paid $150 should have went with my gut and paid the $300 up the street.
If you're looking for an affordable but quality motel, this is it. The location is wonderful, right off the main road and right next to a preschool (that gave me peace of mind!) It's also right in front of Kalispell Airport so you can watch small planes take off. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is continental breakfast of toast, bagel, muffin, cereal, coffee and juice. The rooms are small and dated but comfy and functional. The only negative we found was the window air conditioner, which aggravated my husband's allergies. It took a few minutes for the shower to heat up, but once it heated up it was okay. They always have fresh coffee in the lobby which is a plus for me! The whole motel is smoke-free which is nice but they do offer a designated smoking area near the outside rear door. The pool, hot tub and sauna were wonderful. Definitely one of the biggest advantages of staying here! We would stay here again if we ever come back to visit the area.
This is the best hotel within the Kalispell area for the price. The staff was wonderful, helpful, pleasant and friendly. Especially the girl that works from 3:00 to 11:00 and the overnight guy. The room was clean although it could have used a dusting, the grounds were kept up and the spa is a great feature for the end of the day to relax. And it's open until 11:00 at night which is great! Their breakfast that they serve was definitely sufficient, displayed in a very aesthetic way, and on time. I will stay here again when visiting Kalispell and was recommend this place to anyone who was needing a hotel room in that location. There is a small airport behind the hotel but it's not busy at all as it seems to be more local than anything. There are restaurants and food places within walking distance that made it convenient as well. And my room had a small refrigerator and a microwave which made it easy to reheat food or coffee. Thank you for the pleasant experience with your hotel! You truly shine with your customer service and the way you treat your guests!
Best budget hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I couldn’t recommend it more for a budget friendly stay in Kalispell. Super clean, the staff was very nice and check in/out was smooth. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was amazing. 10/10
Staff was awesome but don’t agree with manger there he was rude tried saying I was liying about my dogs being service dogs and that I was cheating the system when I have major health problems and cancer and have her tag saying she is but my vet told me my dog wasn’t pregnant we moved up here from out of state and didn’t know and all of a sudden we had a puppy I took her out of the room right away and put her in the car and helped her deliver her puppies witch I was gong. To leave out in the car so we wouldn’t get in trouble and helped still made us leave and didn’t let me have my last 2 nights there here is my proof of her being my service dog and my husband has one for his dog my they will be herring from my lawyer for how I was treated and stuff
Booked online, seen that it was a pet friendly hotel,, was happy for the cheaper rates but the service i recieve was beyond rude. The lady knew I had a dog but got very mad because she put us in a second floor room before she realized my under 10 pound dog was with us. She started getting mad and made a call, the person she spoke to told her to tell us, pay an extra 100 bucks or leave,, after negotiation we they agreed to take 50,, when there website clearly says 20 pet deposit. Toilet was gross and dirty, hittub had sand like substance on the bottom. We booked 2 nights but after rude service and a man cusing and being very loud at 3am in the lobby we decided to end our stay. Next morning told the clerk at desk we would not be staying another night, he said ya because of the dog I said no but your site says dog are welcome he called me a liar and said prove it. He was so angry I didn't stay to argue. Actually scary. So I will never stay in the facility again and I will do my best to discourage anyone else.
