The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kalispell generally receives positive feedback, highlighted by friendly staff, convenient location, and a well-maintained property. However, recent reviews reveal concerns regarding inconsistent cancellation policies and noise levels, particularly related to unsupervised children in the pool area. Overall, guests appreciate the included amenities and comfortable accommodations.
Very pleasantly surprised. Very clean and spacious. FYI the even number rooms on freeway side, next time I ask for even number room. The keurig coffee pot needs descaling and I got coffee grounds in 1st cup of tea. No bottled water in room, remember to bring with you. Dinner, cookies and breakfast included with stay.
the staff was very helpful and professional. Went above & beyond for my working long hours schedule. They offer Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday a like dinner and they made sure to save me a plate because I worked till 8:30 PM. Always accommodating my long hours from cleaning to pool information. This location has an adult hour in the pool and hot tub from 10 PM until 7 AM and family and adults are welcome from 7 AM to 10 PM. Giving you the opportunity Time without a lot of noise, which I appreciated and that is why I originally booked here is because their hot tub and pool is open 24.hours. The breakfast staff was amazing. Anything I needed to be accommodated for me to be able to take my breakfast to go?. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a family or anyone on business travel that just wants to be able to relax on the road of long hours.
I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel. I canceled my reservation after receiving both an email confirmation and a verbal confirmation from staff that there would be no cancellation fee. Despite that, I was still charged a $160 cancellation fee. When I reached out to resolve it, there was no accountability for the conflicting information I was given. It’s extremely disappointing to be told one thing—twice—and then billed anyway. That’s not just poor service, it’s misleading. If you stay here, be very careful and don’t rely on what you’re told regarding cancellations. Get everything in writing and double-check your charges. I won’t be staying here again. I have already reached out to management and the diamond elite customer service team and they were no help.
Taking a dip in the pool before checking out. There is nothing here to complain about. Everything was excellent. Rooms were very nice and spotless. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from, hot and cold. Staff was excellent. Price for what you get was a great value. We loved it and really enjoyed our stay. ??
This was the most chaotic hotel I had ever been to! First, I booked a 2 queen suite online (pay ahead of time deal), received confirmation and drove all the way in. Just to find out they didn't have our room and offered a king bed suite at the same price. I feel like for the inconvenience, they could have at least brought the price down. Otherwise my only other option was to spend the same amount of time searching up a new hotel option that'll fit my family. We took it and decided to go swimming. The pool was full of unsupervised kids. Which normally I wouldn't care if the kids were decently behaved enough but this group of teens kept quacking and being obnoxious. An elder couple nearby asked them to stop and they started arguing with the couple. The couple left and reported to front desk who then came and also talked to my kids even though they were supervised and playing Marco Polo innocently away from the group of bad kids. Their parents came in much later laughing and defending them even though they weren't there which just pissed me off more. Front desk should have pulled them all out and contacted their parents immediately. Instead the parents also got away with it while my kids were far away from that nonsense and got talked to like they were the ones arguing and causing a scene. All of that just for the elderly couple to leave anyway. Like I have never experienced anything like this. I'm just irritated at this point. And no the reservation wasn't under my name. It was under my hubby's in case you try to deflect from this in any way.
Stayed here for basketball tournaments. The room was great, beds and pillows were comfy, the breakfast was good. I did not like that the rooms echoed down the hallways, especially with a baby. When asking for additional towels, my daughter mentioned the front desk person had an attitude, so we went out and bought our own. I did love how it was centrally located though. Overall, it was a good stay, and I wouldn't let the minor things keep us from staying there again in the future.
I am a Holiday member and have stayed at several locations in US as well as Canada. This location was fantastic. Chris at the front desk was helpful, very polite and we chatted about a few spots her recommended for dinners. The breakfasts were great with a great variety of foods for all needs and tastes. They even offered a late snack from 7-9 Mon-Wednesday evenings, which is the first time I have ever seen this. They had cookies out in the evening and newspapers as well. The room was clean, spacious and met all our needs. Everyone we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in town. Thanks!!
Great hotel that is clean and easy to get to. The rooms were larger than expected and had comfortable beds. Our room was remodeled with all the modern conveniences. There is a healthy free breakfast in the mornings. The staff were professional and friendly.
This hotel is always one of my favourites. The manager Jennifer and her team are dedicated to making every guests stay a special event. Their work ethic and pride in their work shines through with the smiles on their faces and going the extra mile. The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfast I’ve seen. The facility is clean and well kept. I the pool area was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Kalispel.
Nice property. Clean rooms. Typically H.I.E. breakfast. Great location. Can be a bit noisy with soccer kids, but that's any property not just this one. Its not quiet enough or luxurious enough to be a "romantic" location and it's far too expensive to be a "good value", but it is likely one of the better hotels in the area. I would definitely stay here again.
