Travelodge by Wyndham Kalispell receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its affordability and convenient downtown location, while others highlight significant cleanliness and maintenance issues. Recent renovations have improved some rooms, but dated infrastructure and inconsistent service remain concerns.
Through a series of electric vehicle charging misadventures I found myself in Kalispell late at night, needing to stay overnight. I made a late-night booking and showed up at the Travelodge. I was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful host, who could see that I was apprehensive about wandering around the large property, looking for my room. He kindly walked outside with me to show me where to park, and walked partway with me outside toward my room until I could see it. I felt like the staff really cared about the comfort and safety of their guests. I found the room to be clean with a conveniently designed layout and a spacious bathroom, with everything I needed. The price was amazing and affordable, considering that it was the summer tourist season. The hotel is downtown so there is a bit of minor traffic noise, but the location is convenient and the value for the dollar is fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Manager Becky was amazing! She accommodated us with several unforeseen changes to our reservation! We cancelled one of two rooms due to a family illness, we cancelled one night due to flight cancellatiin by the airline and allowed an early check-in when we arrived after travelling for 10 hours! She immediately had hotel maintenance repair the faulty security swing lock in the room, and would have moved us to another room if it couldn't be repaired, but it was done in 20 minutes of our arrival! Thank you Travelodge Kalispell's Becky@
This was a decent place! Retro! None of our appliances (tv, microwave, mini fridge) worked, but the beds were comfy and clean. The shower worked. We were happy! Shout out to Chance for great customer service. We needed a room change and he was helpful.
Better than what some reviews led me to believe. Quiet room, comfortable bed, hot shower. What more do you need! Will stay here again next time.
The stay was fantastic for the price given!!! Clean, and large rooms with a nice spot in the middle of town so you can walk to most places for food. Montana is a beautiful place
The room is old. Also walls with dirt and who knows what was on it with switches on the wall were full of fingerprints and dirt. The curtains were gross. The lamps were old and yucky. The chairs were ripped the the bathroom or with a torn curtain. The floor. The wall molding was all torn off of the corner hanging baseboard. The lamp has only one bulb in it. Carpet was very dirty. Old 1960 color. Paid $142 for this was not worth it. Outside was cringy looked awful. So late that we just stayed there but if I would have had had a chance I I would have left. Just too tired to make that move. I sprayed everything with Lysol before I would even touch anything. Sad because when am I always think it's good clean properties but if they keep that one on their list they will get a bad name for you quality
My stay was terrible, facility was dated and very run down, furnishings looked like they came from a thrift store, bed felt like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. Breakfast selection poor with very little to offer, small muffins that had been cut in half ,over ripe bananas cereal and bagels. Had things in my fridge disappeared and when staff was informed they were very uncaring, after about 3 times telling them they called owner who then hung up on them. Poorest accommodations I have ever experienced.
Room sucked. The bed had a memory foam topper. I felt like I was gonna get bed bugs. I've stayed alot of places and this has to be the worst. Im 6'0 tall and the head of the shower was at 5'3 maybe. I wouldn't recommend unless it's a last resort. Also the staff sucked. They acted like it was a problem we were staying there. Just avoid this place.
If you’ve lived in a sewer for all of your life this place will feel right at home! This place is an absolute dump. The room was nasty, the AC is falling out of the wall and is very poorly duct taped together, you can see straight through to the outside (which is a shared balcony). After running for close to an hour the room was still hot inside. The ceiling is full of holes (not sure if a shootout happened or for hidden cameras right above the bed), and is sagging and looks like it’s about to fall in. The bed sheet was found to have red stains that look like blood. I absolutely could NOT recommend this place. As enticing as the price may be compared to others in the area, do not do it. You would much rather spend the extra money for a nicer place than to waste your money here. The Google photo reviews are not what they seem when looking it up. Travelers be warned!
When we first drove in thought we made a mistake but our room was in the new building which was very nice. Also even though on the street it was quiet. Stayed 3 nights and only saw room service when we checked in. Luckily hung my towels, my husband didn't but we made it through.
